Vitamin D3 + K2

Fifty micrograms of vitamin D3, which is two thousand international units, with a hundred micrograms of K2 in the MK-7 form. The two travel together because both are fat-soluble and because the case for pairing them is better than the case for either alone at these doses. The capsule is small and carries a little olive oil, so it can be taken with any meal that has some fat in it rather than requiring a particular one. Vitamin D status is one of the few things in this shop worth measuring rather than guessing: a blood test costs less than a year of capsules and tells you whether you need this at all, whether you need twice as much, or whether you can stop. Ask for 25-hydroxyvitamin D. One capsule a day with food. If you take an anticoagulant, K2 interacts with it, so speak to whoever prescribes it before starting.
