Baseline Prenatal carries the nutrients that prenatal guidance actually names, at the doses it names them. Folate is 600 mcg DFE as L-5-methyltetrahydrofolate. Iron is 18 mg as bisglycinate, a form chosen because it is markedly gentler than sulphate and constipation is the reason most people stop taking a prenatal. Choline is 300 mg, which is more than most prenatals carry and still short of the 450 mg reference intake, because choline is bulky and the rest would not fit in a capsule anyone would swallow; make the difference up with eggs. Iodine, vitamin D, B12 and zinc are all present at reference doses. There is no vitamin A as retinol. Three capsules a day with food, and they can be split across the day if morning sickness makes three at once unwelcome. This is a supplement and not antenatal care: take it alongside your midwife or doctor, not instead of them. Third-party tested for identity, potency and heavy metals.
