1000 mg EPA and DHA per serving in re-esterified triglyceride form
A thousand milligrams of combined EPA and DHA in two softgels, in the re-esterified triglyceride form. That form is the whole point of the product and the reason it costs more than the fish oil next to it on a shelf: most cheap fish oil is an ethyl ester, which is what the oil becomes during concentration, and the re-esterification step that converts it back is a step manufacturers can skip. The number to compare between bottles is EPA plus DHA, not the weight of the oil, and a 1000 mg fish-oil capsule commonly holds around 300 mg of the two. Ours holds 500 mg per softgel. The oil is from anchovy and sardine, tested for oxidation as well as for heavy metals, because rancid fish oil is common, is not visible through the softgel and is the reason for the aftertaste people associate with the category. Two softgels a day with a meal. Keep the bottle in the fridge once opened.
